- Cashless and paperless treatment using digital technology
Included Expenses:
- 3 days pre-hospitalisation
- 15 days post-hospitalisation (including medicines, diagnostics, and follow-up care)

🏥 Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Earlier: Health & Wellness Centres)
This is the primary pillar of healthcare delivery under Ayushman Bharat.
The aim is to create 1.5 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs across the country to offer Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC).

🔄 Background
The scheme is the revamped version of National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS).
Now renamed as PM-JAY, it has become the world’s largest health assurance scheme.
👥 Who are the Beneficiaries?
Identified using:
- SECC-2011 (Socio-Economic Caste Census)
- Families covered under Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) but not in SECC-2011
- All citizens aged 70 years and above, even if not earlier eligible

There are 3 implementation models (based on what the State chooses):
- Insurance model – SHA pays premium to insurance company
- Trust/Assurance model – SHA reimburses hospitals directly
- Mixed model – Hybrid of both
