Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital (SATH) Programme

  • Aim: To build three ‘Role Model’ states in Health and Education.
  • Implementing Agency: NITI Aayog.
  • Funding: Cost-sharing between NITI Aayog and participating states.
  • Participating States:
    • Education: Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha.
    • Health: Assam, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh.

👉 The idea is to demonstrate best practices in health and education which can later be replicated by other states.

National Mission on Transformative Mobility & Battery Storage

  • Aim: Promote clean, connected, shared and sustainable mobility.
  • Mechanism: Inter-ministerial steering committee under NITI Aayog CEO.
  • Functions:
    • Recommend strategies for EVs, EV components, and batteries.
    • Oversee Phased Manufacturing Programmes (PMPs) till 2024.
  • Focus Areas: Manufacturing, fiscal incentives, standards, demand creation, R&D, and regulatory frameworks.

👉 This mission is at the heart of India’s electric vehicle push.

Transformation of Aspirational Districts Programme (TADP)

  • Aim: Transform underdeveloped districts through targeted interventions.
  • Coverage: 112 Aspirational Districts (initially 117).
  • Selection Basis: Poverty, poor health, weak education, and infrastructure deficits.
  • Monitoring: Progress tracked via 49 indicators across 5 themes:
    • Health & Nutrition (30%)
    • Education (30%)
    • Agriculture & Water Resources (20%)
    • Financial Inclusion & Skill Development (10%)
    • Basic Infrastructure (10%)
  • Principles:
    • Convergence of central & state schemes.
    • Collaboration between government and citizens.
    • Competition among districts.

👉 A dynamic dashboard provides real-time progress monitoring.

Aspirational Block Programme (ABP)

  • Background: Based on Aspirational District Programme.
  • Aim: Ensure saturation of essential services (health, nutrition, education, water, financial inclusion, etc.).
  • Coverage: 500 blocks across India.

👉 This focuses on development below district level, directly targeting weaker blocks.

Youth Co: Lab India

  • Launched by: UNDP India & Citi Foundation in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM).
  • Aim:
    • To align youth with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
    • To encourage leadership, social innovation, and entrepreneurship.
  • Support: Provides seed grants for early-stage startups.

👉 It positions youth as SDG innovators.

SEHER Programme (Supporting Entrepreneurs with Holistic Education and Resources)

  • Purpose: To provide credit education and financial literacy to women entrepreneurs.
  • Collaboration:
    • Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) (NITI Aayog initiative, launched 2018).
    • TransUnion CIBIL (credit bureau providing financial insights).
  • WEP: Provides training, mentoring, networking, and finance to women entrepreneurs.
  • TransUnion CIBIL: Offers credit reports and insights for individuals, MSMEs, and businesses.

👉 Together, they empower women with the skills and financial knowledge needed to run businesses successfully.
